At Candlewyck Apartments, we take pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our residents. We’re currently seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper to join our team. This role is crucial in keeping the grounds clean, inviting, and well-maintained throughout the seasons. The Groundskeeper will also provide support to the property staff as needed to ensure efficient operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:

- Maintaining lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas year-round.
- Mowing grass, trimming shrubs, and selecting appropriate plants for walkways or garden spaces.
- Raking leaves and caring for flowers, trees, and plants.
- Performing weed control and removing harmful vegetation (e.g., poison oak, poison ivy).
- Applying mulch, fertilizers, and pesticides as necessary.
- Collecting and disposing of trash and debris from common areas.
- Sweeping sidewalks, steps, and shared spaces.
- Handling light snow removal and salting walkways as needed.
- Coordinating larger-scale snow or dirt removal when necessary.
- Assisting the maintenance team with additional duties as assigned.
- Reporting supply needs to management.
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform physical tasks and follow directions efficiently.
- Required to wear protective gear (gloves, goggles, appropriate clothing) based on tasks.
- Familiarity with landscaping tools and equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers, rakes, shovels, snow removal tools).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior outdoor maintenance experience preferred.
Compensation:
- Job Type: Full-time, On-Site.
- Monday-Friday (9AM-6PM).
- Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour (Dependent on experience).
